The inspiration for Whistic was born on the vendor risk management team at a leading technology company in Silicon Valley. Our founding team had personal experience with the pains of manually performing vendor security assessments using spreadsheets and email, and they solved those pains by building the intuitive Whistic platform.
This unique solution has since been validated and improved by feedback from hundreds of people, many of whom contributed to the success of Whistic.
Shortly after the release of the Whistic Platform, the judges at Launch Festival, the world’s largest startup event, awarded Whistic with the “Best Enterprise Startup” award and we haven’t looked back since. Our award winning platform is now backed by incredible investors and used by top security teams around the world.
Nick is a repeat entrepreneur and he loves solving important customer problems, particularly when they have global reach and significant industry tailwinds.
Prior to Whistic Nick co-founded a SaaS Platform at the intersection of the healthcare and financial services markets, which served thousands of customers, automating archaic workflows for providers and helping patients obtain access to treatment. After five years of growth, the company had a successful exit to a leading fintech marketplace.
Nick’s first startup adventure began during his senior year at the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University, when he served as a member of the founding management team at a startup responsible for pioneering a new category within the outdoor gear and apparel industry. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, it’s likely that you’ve used one of these products on your latest expedition.
Nick lives in Utah with his wife and 4 young children. On a typical weekend, you can find them enjoying time together in the beautiful mountains, lakes and trails near their home.
After graduating from college, Juan joined numerous startups in the Los Angeles area, specifically focusing on the early stages of what we now know as SEO. During that time, Juan established himself as a seasoned engineer and learned the ins-and-outs of running a company.
In 2011, a large eCommerce company approached Juan, and he and his family relocated to Salt Lake City. Juan quickly began managing multiple teams and spearheading important projects, such as the company’s first ever public API and their Bitcoin integration. Ultimately, Juan was promoted to Manager and Architect of Internal Infrastructure teams before his departure to begin his entrepreneurial journey.
Juan went on to co-found a peer-to-peer recreational vehicles rental platform. The venture proved to be exactly what Juan had been looking for; an opportunity to grow a business from the ground up. The experience permitted him to personally dive into sales, marketing, customer service and most importantly analyzing the technology he had developed. After having dedicated a year to this work, he felt that the enterprise space was a better fit for his talents, so he moved on to start Whistic.
Juan lives in Sandy, Utah with his wife and kids. He doesn't believe in "down time," so if he isn't coaching his son's robotics team or children's soccer teams, he is mastering the art of grilling.
Director, People and Culture
Emily is a teacher by nature, an attorney by training, and an HR professional by design. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Emily taught high school Spanish for two years in the heart of Dallas, TX, where she learned just how passionate she was about working with people as well as how to incorporate "y'all" into her vocabulary. Following her teaching experience, she pursued law school at Brigham Young University, subsequently practicing labor and employment law at a firm in Minneapolis, MN. It was during this time of working closely with HR leadership that she recognized how her legal background and love of working with people could intersect. She soon transitioned into working in-house at multiple large companies in an HR capacity, supporting management and employees alike.
In the colder months, Emily enjoys watching college and professional football (Go Packers!), and when it's warm, you'll find her walking the golf course with her husband. Emily also enjoys party games with friends, cooking and baking, and reading historical fiction.
VP Customer Success
Chrisy Woll is the VP of Customer Success at Whistic and manages high expectations through principles of discipled Customer Success. She and her close-knit team work tirelessly to create a world-class experience for all Whistic customers.
Prior to joining the Whistic team, she created repeatable and scalable Customer Success teams at several successful hyper-growth tech companies. She holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University and embraces the concepts of grit, simplicity and servant leadership.
When she takes time away from work, you will likely find her collecting stamps in her passport!

Tom has many years of experience working with SaaS software, and has worked with global companies in several industries. He’s been responsible for business results across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. He believes that metrics are essential to making complex decisions for any company, but equally important is the ability to motivate those around you and to multiply their talents.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management from Brigham Young University, and an MBA from the University of Utah.
He’s been married for more than half of his life and has 5 children. Tom enjoys many hobbies, including motorcycles, fountain pens and playing guitar in a working band.
Ben Stokes is the global vice president of sales for Whistic. He brings more than 23 years of sales and executive management experience, growing and scaling both emerging and Fortune 500 technology companies.
Ben has an extensive information security sales background from his time leading Proofpoint’s #1 selling division in Canada, N. America, and LATAM, to his time expanding Proofpoint’s relationship with large VAR’s such as CDW, Fishnet/Accuvant, and SHI.
Ben began his career as an entrepreneur where he successfully founded and led two large organizations through successful exits, and brings a myriad of mixed industry experience to the Whistic leadership team.
Duane loves building great software products and has held product leadership roles at both startup and large software companies. At Ivanti, he led product strategy, supporting a rapid company expansion through both organic growth and acquisition. Throughout his career, he has launched products in many different markets, including asset, endpoint, identity, security, service and workflow.
Whether on calls, in person or speaking at events around the globe, he is passionate about creating products that make customers wildly successful.
Duane loves spending time with his family, which has translated to supporting many high school activities and coaching youth sports. While he has traveled all over the world, he still believes that nothing is better than a week at Lake Powell with his family, skiing a glassy water ski course!
VP Business Development and Partnerships
Sunil D'Souza is the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships at Whistic. He has been building enterprise partnerships since 2008. He has worked with global companies like Medallia and Poly (previously Plantronics) as well as smaller organizations like LLamasoft (acquired by Coupa) and Viscom. Sunil has experience building and scaling Tech, ISV, Management Consulting, Developer, and GSI partnerships and focuses on revenue growth.
Sunil has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University (Go Tigers!). He loves to play his guitar, hike, coach youth sports (basketball, volleyball, soccer), and spend time on the beach. He has a loving wife and two athletic daughters.
Director of Revenue Operations
After graduating with a degree in Communications (emphasis in Advertising) from Brigham Young University, Jeff joined a local SEM/SEO agency as an Account Manager. Rather than progressing to directing commercials or creating witty taglines, he found his way into various operations and technology-focused roles at SaaS companies in the Silicon Slopes area. These positions provided him with an opportunity to fuse his passion for enabling others with his curiosity and interest in technology. Though he uses little of what he studied in school, he has enjoyed learning on the job and working with teams of all kinds to find efficiency and leverage technology for success.
When not in front of a keyboard, Jeff can be found coaching or cheering for his kids at various sporting events, attempting to stay in shape in his garage "gym", or trying his hand at various DIY projects around the house.
Director of Engineering
Scott began his professional career as a hardware engineer designing RISC-processor-based computers for Hewlett-Packard, Here, he developed his love for software development while writing firmware for the new systems.
Scott has worked extensively with most of the major programming languages from assembly to Java and operating platforms from DOS to the Cloud.
When he is not working, Scott enjoys traveling, weight-lifting and spending time with his family. The Chun household is a hodge-podge of languages - Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, and of course, English. Scott grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, which shows in his warm Aloha spirit
Director of Analytics
Over 20 years of experience in information security management, architecture, incident handling, and reverse engineering advanced persistent threats.
Eight years experience in business consulting in large enterprise and startup environments with a focus in cloud computing, operations research, strategic marketing and sales optimization.
Background in applied statistics and artificial intelligence with an emphasis in unsupervised learning, classification modeling, and deep learning.
MBA from Colorado State University with specialization in quantitative analysis. Currently completing graduate work at Northwestern University.
