SquadCast significantly reduces response time to vendor assessment requests with Whistic

As the leading SaaS solution empowering content creators to collaborate from anywhere in the world, SquadCast has had to deal with its fair share of vendor assessments. In the past, this was a long and time-consuming process for the company’s CIO, Vince Moreno, and his small team.

Bogged down by detailed questionnaire requests

“We would receive very detailed spreadsheet questionnaires from companies wanting to understand our security stance,” related Moreno. “These weren’t typical yes/no questionnaires. They wanted us to provide specific details about our security controls as well, and after we got through two or three of them, it became quickly apparent that we needed to standardize this. We just didn’t have the time to go through all of that [for every questionnaire].”

Fortunately for SquadCast, someone on Moreno’s team had experience with Whistic at a previous company and suggested the team look into adopting Whistic Profile to manage vendor assessment requests.

Assessment process streamlined with Whistic

Currently, SquadCast’s Profile includes completed CIS Top-20 and GDPR questionnaires along with the company’s SOC 2 report, documents for customer IT teams related to protocols necessary to run the application, and all of SquadCast’s security related policies. While the initial time investment to complete those questionnaires was no small task, Moreno and his team now just need to share a link to the Profile, and their work is done.

Prior to implementing Whistic, it would take anywhere from 10–15 employee hours to respond to an assessment request. Now, all SquadCast has to do is share a link to their Profile with customers, which is a huge time savings for Moreno and his team.“We have a link to our Whistic Profile on all of our external web pages, so anybody interested in our company can take a look at our security profile,” said Moreno. “We have the NDA enabled, so we can make sure we know who’s gaining access to that information.”
